JULY 2006 - Adbus & Titan Join Forces
Adbus, the UK transport advertising company, has linked up with US based Titan Outdoor to create "Titan Bus UK Ltd".
Adbus Ltd. was established in 1986 and now represent about 250 bus companies throughout the UK, as well as operating in Spain and Portugal.
Titan Outdoor is the world's largest privately owned transport and outdoor advertising company. In the last 8 months, in Europe, they have won the advertising rights for most of Eire's Bus and Train infrastructure, and in the UK acquired Maiden Outdoor PLC .
Bill Apfelbaum and Don Allman who lead Titan Worldwide originally ran TDI, which came over to the UK in the 1990's and fairly quickly dominated the entire Bus and London Tube advertising market. TDI was eventually acquired by Viacom, the US media conglomerate.
